Before any kind of voyage, a vessel should be comprehensively inspected using our ultrasonic leak detection equipment. This will notify you that there are areas that are not completely sealed and will allow water to penetrate and potentially cause damage to your cargo or systems.
How does it work?
Our Hatch Sure ultrasonic leak detector is an accurate and easy-to-use device for ensuring that your vessel is sea-worthy and areas that are essential to keep dry are sealed off properly. It is a quick and effective method of ascertaining the integrity of a hatch, seam, or another joint that needs to be sealed. The powerful transmitter is powered by a built-in battery and uses 19 ultrasound emitters to produce an omnidirectional sound field. The frequency emitted from the ultrasonic leak detection equipment is 40 kHz (40,000 Hz) and will accurately map any gaps, cracks, or faulty seals in the emitter area. This is achieved by measuring the return sound energy level and, therefore, the sound transmitted through the gaps. This enables the ultrasonic leak detector to locate the gap quickly and efficiently.
